The Australian Business Party believes that education is the cornerstone of success in one’s own life. Education comes in all forms whether it be public/private, secondary/tertiary , trades/apprenticeships or even life experience for that matter.
Our nation depends on the skills and knowledge learnt both at school and at our tertiary institutions. As taxpayers we all expect the highest level of investment in our education sector.
The Australian Business Party would like Governments to adopt the following measures:
a) To open up trade training centres within schools to allow students the freedom of choice to take up academic and non academic subjects on school grounds.
b) To encourage local businesses to help train young students in the field they wish to work in.
c) To give students the choice of completing years 11/12 in an academic or non academic stream. This allows students to conduct traineeships and apprenticeships whilst still at school.
d) To encourage business to invest in our schools financially and to make it a tax incentive to do so.
